STOUGHTON
I loved these guys. 4 piece, with 2 acostic guitars, and then bass n drums. The lead singer is an amazing vocalist. Really nice to listen too. They have pretty harmonies which is onw of my favorite things i love about bands. Totally rockin emo/feel-good music. I don't know what else to say other than "wow", "yes!", and "finally". Excellent band. I can't wait to hear more from them and see them again live. New favorite band for me. They're so going up on this site once i'm done with this review. *********
COREY'S FALLING
Me and Jess were bummed when they said they were from Wisconsin, cos that means we won't get to see them very often. These guys reminded me of Further. I liked them. 5 guys, kind of a rockish/indie sound. Excellent stage presence. The singer was totally into it. The crowd sucked. (sometimes i'm completly let down by our 'scene') However, due to 'technical difficulties' (one of the guys guitar broke somehow) they were a little out of sorts. i don't think they're always that way though, they just got a little out of sync and junk. had to restart a few songs. aw well. its all good. ********
RUST
I liked the guys voice. (side note: i think that night was a good night to hear good male singers at the union) I was kinda annoyed by their crowd, considering like none of them were there to watch the first 2 bands, cos on all the RUST flyers they put that they played at 10:00, not the time the show started. I don't know what i think of that. But i dunno, they seemed good musically. A rock/punk band. I've found it's hard for me to get into new punk bands now. I'll still listen to bands i've been into for awhile, they really all start to sound the same after awhile. anyway. ******
WORDS OF GRACE
Yep. Their new stuff is pretty good, but i'm still a fan of the reggae tunes, which i think are slowly going away. I dunno, i don't like read their website and obsess over them so i don't really know anything other than what i see at shows. new bassist, new drummer, and the brother just there singing brvs. honestly it was kinda awkward looking for him to be up there. it sounded great, but it was weird cos he was just flopping around on stage and singing, but he's not the lead vocalist. i dunno, mixed feelings i have about that. i thought it was odd how they didn't introuduce their new drummer, or tell dumb kids like me who dont know anything how he's only filling in. but i really liked their old drummer, and i'll miss him if he's left. But yeah, i dont know what else to babbel about. ******
